The influence of item format and scoring on comparability

  • Assess measurement invariance associated with item format, assessment delivery, and scoring in international assessments using differential item functioning (DIF) analysis and PISA 2012 data.
  • Examine sources of DIF (e.g., gender, social background).
  • Identify the impact on test fairness and measurement errors.
